Hello all! I have recently been reading all kinds of blogs and have decided that our tiny little family needed to update our communication system in preparation for 2006. So we are officially bloggers now! YAY! Excited am I? YES! I'm not sure of this blogs purpose, but I am way excited at the possibilities.
I guess we could start out with prayer requests for the new year...
* I am really wanting to get a permanent position at the Ranch this next year, which would really be a blessing to us in every facet of our lives. So if you would please pray for God's will in this area, it would be highly appreciated!
* Please keep the kids that Luke and I work with in your prayers. The holiday season is so hard on their little hearts and substitute families will NEVER be the same as their real ones.
* Just watching the news (yes, I really am right now) and being aware and reminded everyday of the craziness of this world, I thought it would be a good idea to pray for Jesus to return... soon. If not that, than to pray a special prayer of anticipation. For example, I am ready to just sit before the Lord and sing, and sing, and sing. I look forward to feeling nothing but peace and leaving all of these feelings of anticipation, grief, envy, hate, worry, and vanity behind. I just think a prayer of telling the Lord what your looking forward to in His Kingdom, might help US remember what this journey is all about!
* Our government
* Luke's family. His mom, dad, and sister to be specific. They are a few short days away from moving to the Portland, OR area to do mission work. Church planting. Not all of the details are worked out about where they are going to live, and where some will work, but the Lord knows and I am sure they would appreciate a little view of His plan. That could bring some much needed peace. And just prayers for safe travels as well.
* My sister and her family are starting their Church plant in Calgary this next year too. I don't know a lot of their details, but I think it is suppose to start soon. The Journey church, if you like to be specific in your prayers.
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Feel free to leave some prayer requests you have if you want to leave a comment to this blog.
I am finished, for now. I want to spend some more time with my hubby. I hope you are all well and I would like to remind you of Jesus and his love for us. May we always be reminded of HIS sacrifice, so that we are more willing to sacrifice for Him.
