Puppy!

So I guess I was right! Our little family is going through it's first new change of 2006. Our apartments went under new management and owning an animal is now LOTS cheaper! So... Luke and I would like to introduce, Maddie Deal. Luke thinks she looks like one of the RCA dogs and he, being the sports fan that he is, associates the RCA dog with March madness. So he wanted to call her "March." But Maddie, short for madness, sounded like more of a compromise to me. Isn't she the cutest? We got her for free, and the guy who gave her to us said she's like two months old. Luke and I think she's younger because she still doesn't walk very much.

I wanted to first name her bagel, since she's part beagle... but that wasn't fun anymore after fifteen min. Then I wanted to call her Rain, or Brooke. I think I liked Sabrina at one time too, but Lukie thought that was too much of a cat name. But MAddie, fits her just fine. Potty training has been a hoot! Looking forward to THAT being over!

Anyways... work is work with us still! I love my job and I love all of the kids I work with... and Power House is really great this semester. For those of you who don't know what Power House is... it's a program that is run after school for the little kids at the Ranch. We sing songs, watch movies, watch puppets, play games, win prizes, and learn about JESUS! We use to do crafts, but that got WAY out of hand and very spendy... so no more crafts. I was sad, but it doesn't seem like the kids care that much.

I was getting ready for work the other day and I was thinking about what I was going to blog about this week. Then Maddie came into the family. So I will leave my other thoughts for next time. Until then...
