We had a check up today, and poor Lillyan got two shots. Her legs hurt! She weighs 17 lbs. and is 27inches long. The Dr. said everything was great, but she measured her head like seven times! Then she left the room, came back in and measured three more times! After she measured for the last time she said that she wants to see Lilly in a month to check up on her head size. Apparently it's a little too large for her "curve" (above average for her height and weight) and then the Dr. said for me to make sure and call them if Lillyan seems to be losing any of her newly learned skills. Then she said that she doesn't think we should have anything to be worried about, but that she just wants to keep her eye on it to be on the safe side of things.
Weird.
Anyone know anything about what might be going on here? She was kinda vague and I was a little shell shocked by it all.
So... if it really is nothing, or if it could be something, please be in prayer for our little Lilly.
Here's a fun fact to end on... she can stand all by herself for a really long time! She can also every once in a while stand up without having to pull up on anything! The other night Luke said she took three short little quick steps when he was trying to change her into her p.j's. But I didn't see it, so I refuse to acknowledge that it happened!
She's SO close to walking! It's fun to watch. we walk with her while holding on to one hand and she giggles the whole time!
She's a major fan of veggie tales and I am so glad! Our morning routine needed something that captivated her 100% so that I could get dressed, face put on, Lilly's hair done, and the diaper bag ready to go without her screaming for me (even though I like it when she screams for me).
Well... that's all I have to say. Later Gators!

Chances are it is 'nothing'. Babies are silly little creatures and they don't all grow the same. It is a huge blessing that you have such a thorough doctor though. If, heaven forbid, there were something wrong I'm sure she'll catch it. Try not to borrow worry Mama. =)

thanks friend! I feel much better today.
I hate it when the doctors scare you like that, It is nice to know that they are so thorough though, My girl had an above average head as well, I say it is just because she was so extra smart!!! Her body has since caught up, she's still extra smart though!!!
