So, I got the job. I am now the official, unofficial Children's Minister (Pastor) at the West Amarillo Christian Church. The congregation has to give me a thumbs up before I am just the official Children's Pastor... Director... Minister. Yeah, I should probably figure out what it is that they will call me. Kara Deal is fine for now.
Speaking of Kara Deal. I have been Kara Deal for two years now. August 14 was our anniversary! We went to Dallas and stayed with my wicked cool cousin. We laid by the pool, swam in the pool, ate some great junk food, drank some great pop, and then got all dressed up for Luke's cousin's wedding. It was a really great thing to do on our anniversary! The whole wedding was very touching and romantical. It reminded us of our vows exactly two years ago and the couple that just got married wrote their own vows to each other. It touched me when London, the bride, said that she wanted to find a way to serve her husband everyday of their lives together. WOW! What a slap in my face about how much I take Luke for granted and become so wrapped up in what I need and what I'm not getting! If I worked more on shifting my focus to serving him, then everything else would just fall into place. Luke said there was some things that he was reminded of and grateful for hearing too... but I'm not sure I'm suppose to put them in the blog. So... sorry, not gonna say.
I could take time to write out a whole bunch of mushy stuff here and go on and on about how I love my Lukie, but the words would never compare or express my love for him. Words just fall short when compared to what my heart beats. So I won't even attempt to try. But I do promise to live what my heart cries. And I will honor and respect my Luke for another year, and another, and another, and another!
Peace be with you, and PRAISE THE LORD for His continued Faithfulness!

Congratulations Kara on the job! You will do GREAT!!! God will bless you and those you work with.
I have found that it takes a few years to really get to the point of focousing on our husbands. You are still figuring things out. Keep working towards that goal and you will arrive. I did! If I can do it, anyone can.
