V.B.S. has come and gone. Mom was here to be the snack lady and we had a blast! Dad came in for the weekend after V.B.S. was over and then we had even more fun. I like them. I like them a whole lot!
So now I am getting ready for camp. A week from today I will be at my first camp of two weeks of camp. That doesn't sound like English, but trust me, it is. I am not really looking forward to camp. Which is really weird because I have been to church camp every year of my life! But there is something about going to a new camp, following new traditions and such that makes me feel.. very timid. I'm sure all will be well. but I still don't really have the excitement in my belly that I'm use to... maybe I'm just getting old.
Luke's mom and dad have been in town for about two weeks now. So we have had a lot of family time over at G&G Mc's. That's what we call Leslie's parents. They have also gotten us some stuff for baby. Like little p.j.'s and such. They are really cute! It's still hard to imagine that there will be a little one in them soon. I am just now really starting to show. And that's only if you know me. I'm sure to others it just looks like I am in need of some weight watcher attention!
This being pregnant thing has been the best diet so far. I have lost more weight than I did doing weight watchers! HA!! Not really. But I have lost! And it seems like the bigger my waist gets, the smaller my butt gets, so pants have a hard time staying on! It's hard to keep pants on a cone! :) And I don't do sweets. We had some homemade ice cream the other night, and I almost barfed it up in front of the family because it tasted so sweet! No. no. Ice cream, cake, cheese cake, chocolate, and things of the like are not my friend!
Mashed potatoes and green beans... that's more like it! Oh, and corn on the cob from Chili's! YUMM!
Enough about food. Luke is doing well. He's working so hard for the money. Summer program out at the ranch is a hard season... but MAN is he dark! He's my little brown bear these days. This is the first summer where he is darker than me, and boy... don't you know he let's me hear about it every day!
Speaking of Luke... about two weeks ago, he destroyed three cars in four days. OK. Not DESTROY, destroy... but all of them got sent to the shop, and not one of them was in a wreck! First, our new car was flooded out in some high waters, then his mom and dad's car over heated and had to get a new engine (Luke was driving it at the time). And last our old car decided it didn't want a transmission anymore! So Luke wasn't allowed to drive any one's car for like a week! Everyone was scared what he'd do to it! HA! But like I told him, if it had to happen to anyone... I'm glad it was him. He's the only guy I know that would be able to take it all in stride and not become a downer about it all. He's just cool like that.
Well. There's a boring update. But at least I don't feel like a bad blogger for not posting in forever! So really, it's all about me. (I tease, I tease.)
Xana. Isn't there something you want to tell us?

I lost weight in the first half of myh pregnancy, too! Not because I was barfing all the time, but because I felt queasy if my tummy got too full. Not eating trucker-sized portions made me lose weight--imagine that! The good news is: my butt has stayed smaller. The bad news: my tummy still looks like I'm 4 months pregnant. I suppose I should do a sit-up...
When you really start showing, I wanna see some preggo KK pics!
The last few weeks have been bad car weeks for us, too. Steve's truck has been over-heating, my car's battery gave out about 4 times, and Dad's car got wrecked while a friend was driving it. And Ty and I both got pulled over...but neither of us got tickets. Maybe there's something in the air.
I made the announcement on my blog and put up lots of pictures of Madalyn! Can't wait to see you guys!
I am glad you are doing well! Have I mentioned how excited I am for you to have this baby? Is it wrong that I already have a gift for it?
Poor Luke and his car troubles! I feel bad for him but your right, he could take it all in stride!
Have an awesome day!
Love lots,
Brett
