So here's the Deal...

Ohh, got cha! That would be a cute title for when the baby comes! Too bad it hasn't yet!

So, seriously... here's the news. If Baby doesn't come by Wed., I will be induced at 7:00 a.m. Wed. morning. There is now light at the end of the tunnel for me. This has been HUGE in helping me relax and enjoy the end of my pregnancy. Now when baby moves I think, "oh, I will miss this, " instead of "Holy crap this hurts, GET OUT OF ME!"

See... huge difference!

We only have a few more days (like today and tomorrow) to get a tax break... but I really don't care! I am just so glad and happy that I will be a Mommy this time next week! I can't wait to met baby and KNOW WHAT IT IS! I'm sure ya'll are chomping at the bit too!

But I will give you a little something that I have been keeping a secret... the names!

Girl: Lillyan Annette Deal
Boy: Lincoln Allen Deal

For those of you who don't know my husband, it's a little bit of a tradition to have an LAD in the family. Luke is the first born and he is Luke Allen Deal. Luke's Dad is the first born and is Larry Allen Deal. And Luke's Grandpa is the first born and is Lloyd Allen Deal. So that's why we picked the names we did! And I love them so tread carefully if you don't like them, I might put you on "MY LIST"(... if you catch my drift) if you say anything bad.

And NO! We did not choose the name Lincoln because of the University of Nebraska (although that is a cool coinkidink {my own spelling}). It is actually after Abraham Lincoln, and we just like the name.

So, there you go! Thanks for all the prayers and love! We love you and are praying right back!

Hey Gina.... how is the move to Portland going? Finding jobs and such?

Thank you for the update! I'm so anxious for this baby to arrive that you'd think I was the one who was pregnant!

Thank you for sharing the names, too! You've picked some very nice names there, and you know how particular I am about names! I was trying to guess what you would pick (because you'd already narrowed it down to LAD names), and I got pretty close on the girl's name. (I thought you'd go with either Lily/Liliana or Lara pared with either Anne or something that started with Ann, like Anneliese). See, that was pretty close for someone who hasn't talked to you in person in, like, 10 years or some ridiculous amount of time. I had guessed Logan Adam for the boy's name, but if I'd known about the Allen thing I would have figured that part out!

So, if it's a girl, are you going to call her Lilly or are you going to use her full name? And if you're using the full name, do you pronounce it like Lillian, or like Lilly Anne? I gots to know so I don't go around praying for the wrong baby by accident! =)

As for the Portland move, I was going to post some news about that next time I got around to posting. Steve has a phone interview with the Boeing in Troutdale on January 14. It's for a Quality Assurance Inspector position, and he's super-qualified for it, so we're feeling really good about it. But since our house hasn't had any one looking at it, let alone interested, we could be in a bit of a pickle if we have to move soon. So there's our prayer request list if you're so inclined!

P.S. Do you remember Corey Craig--he's from Newberg and about your age, I think. Anyway, I just found out that he and his wife (Kelsey Killen, my honorary little sister) are going to have a baby in early July. Same week that Priscilla and Jeb Bristow-Hanna are expecting their second, actually. Thought you might like to know about that.

P.S. Longest comment EVER!

Those are actually really cool names. I had to say Lincoln a couple of times to get it to sound right BUT I GOT IT!!! Ok, this is so nerve racking. I wish I could just jump on a plane, not worry about any money stuff blah blah blah and come down and give you hug. I cannot wait to actually meet this little person that is in you. Until then I will be satisfied with the pictures and stories YOU WILL be sharing with us over the next few months.

By the way, I kind of lost the address you gave me for your house (if you even gave it to me) but you could you send it again. I have already picked out a few things I want to send this child. However, first I need to know whether or not is a boy or a girl, then I will know exactly what to send.

Ok, I normally don't like to wish away my breaks for school and stuff but I cannot wait for Wednesday to get here!!

Praying for you often!!

All my love to you three!

Brett

Thanks for the update Kara. I've been stopping by regularly to see if little miss or little mister has made his or her appearance yet. Praying for you all!

Congratulations on your beautiful new nephew! I hope you have/had a relatively easy time bringing his "twin cousin" into the world. I'll be praying for Lillyan/Lincoln and you all day today (assuming you're being induced and haven't already become a Mommy)!

God bless you, Brett, for assuaging my curiosity--at least I know Baby Deal is here and is a girl. I can be patient and wait for the rest of the details. (I know blogging isn't a new Mommy's highest priority!)

As for you, Mommy Kara, I can't even tell you how happy I am for you! Your sweet Lillyan is so blessed to have been born into your loving family--and I can't think of a better trio of female role models than you and your sweet mom and Xana.

I am dying to see pictures of your precious girl, but I'll be as patient as I can because I know this time is for snuggling and sleeping, not blogging!

KK,
Congratulations on the beautiful new baby girl! I was so excited to see pics on Leah's Facebook tonight! YAH!
Next time we're in Texas, I'll have to let you know ahead of time! :) (I was in Pecos/Abilene/Brownwood for Christmas)

Hope your recovery is going well hon. Can't wait to see pics! *=)* I keep poking around different corners of the net looking for some. *sigh* I miss you and can't wait to meet your wee one. =)

Remember when someone who looked a lot like me said something about being patient while waiting for you to post pictures? Well, that person was lying! I'm dying to see pictures of your little girl!!!! My husband thinks I have a blog addiction problem because I check for photos so many times a day. Put me out of my misery and post of photos of Lillyan!

P.S. I hope the reason you haven't posted yet is because you can't tear yourself away from your sweet baby, not because you aren't recovering quickly. I'm still praying for both of you!

Gina, I was just thinking the same thing!!!! I think you and I are almost having a chat on here. I really love that you and Luke have a beautiful baby girl Kara!! However, the rest of the world is dying to see more and more pictures than the two we have already seen!!

Love to the three of you!!

Brett

You're right, Brett! Except I haven't even seen the two you've seen. She could be green with gills for all I know! (But the word "beautiful" has been used a few times, so I'm guessing she's not all green and gilly.)

Kara, are you noticing a pattern here. Gina and I are the ONLY ONES that matter here!!! I know Lillyan is adorable and all, but we want the pics!!!!

Love to all three of you!

Hey Brett,

I'm starting to suspect that Kara is waiting to post pictures till she breaks that elusive 20 comments mark. Reply to me a couple of times and we'll be almost there!

Kara, see, I've figured out your scheme!
