Ummm...yeah...not so much.

So I am not very "political." I vote. I have opinions and views and vote according to those opinions and views. Husband... very opinionated and feels very strongly about his views. I.love.this.about.my.man!

So... I would probably be an Obama fan because there are few things I agree with that I have heard him say throughout his campaign. There are a few I DO NOT agree with... but I feel the same way about McCain. I don't research issues. I don't debate with others about political issues. I don't really "care" much about all of it. I mean I care, but not on a grand scale. Some might say I should care more, I am very sure that some might hope that I would care a little less.

We have been known to have the radio on in our home and not the T.V. This is not to enjoy any special type of music, no... this is so my husband can listen to the latest political news from men with even stronger opinions and views than Luke. (And I must say that some of these men have very strong opinions of themselves - What's up Rush? How ya been?)

Because of Luke's interests. I have found myself more and more interested in political issues. And I am voting this year, as I have always planned, but not for Obama. I'm not a fan of McCain. I think he's scary... looking AND in some of his "Plans" for the future of our nation. But I am voting for him. I really wish there was more of an option to choose from, but this is what it is, so I will do what I think I need to do.

The main reason I am voting for him (dare I say the only reason? No, it's not the only... but there aren't too many more.) is because of the media. I think it is very scary for us to have a Democracy and have such a biased, one sided media. This scare me more than a terrorist threat, because I view it as the terrorist from within. And yes, I realize what I just said.

I just thought I would write a little ditty on a political issue that actually DOES get me fired up and I also hope to stir some thinkers out there too (and by thinkers, I mean brains). I think we should fight for our freedoms. And I want to know facts, not facts the way some else sees it or thinks I should see it! Just facts, so that my brain and my heart can come to it's own conclusion. I think both elephants and donkeys should get their panties out of a wad and just do the job we ask of them. NOT the job they "feel the people should react to." That's not NEWS!

I understand it's virtually impossible to weed out all bias, but don't you think we should try? It's virtually impossible to not sin, but as a Christian I am asked to try! So... there you have it, and I am done.

THANK YOU! I feel the exact same way. Neither party excites me, nor do I agree with either one of those men...buuut, it freaks the crap out of me how much the media/world is rallying behind Obama, just because he is the opposite of Bush. I too, will vote for McCain and alot of the reason is because I am rebelling against what the media wants me to do. Uuuum, they're not the boss of me!
